Owner

Services are provided to commercial/industrial businesses, industrial associations and government agencies.   Specializing in oil refining, gas and petrochemical facilities as well as industrial associations related to crisis/emergency management and mutual aid.  Government agencies include  fire departments, fire marshal offices and other government emergency management organizations . 

Pete Greco, owner of Greco Risk Consulting, is the retired Manager Emergency & Security Services/Fire Chief for the third largest chemical company in the world at their Refinery operations in Houston; where he provided crisis management planning, asset protection, incident command, and security services for a 260,000-barrel/day full conversion oil refinery.  Additionally, Pete provided response, crisis management and fire protection consulting to chemical plants in the U.S. and Europe.  He also has experience as a Safety Engineer, Industrial Hygienist and Field Safety Inspector.  Pete is an Agency Emergency Preparedness Instructor for the Texas Emergency Training Institute (ESTI) at Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service.  Pete holds a BS in Industrial Hygiene and Safety from the University of Houston, and an AAS in Occupational Safety and Health from San Jacinto College.  He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a certified Emergency Medical Technician, a Texas Fire Commission Level II Instructor, NFPA 1041 Instructor I and NFPA 1081 Interior and Exterior Certified.  Pete has 39+ years Refinery/Petrochemical and 25 years Municipal Emergency Response and Management experience.  He was active in the nation’s largest industrial mutual aid organization; Channel Industries Mutual Aid (CIMA) as an Emergency Response Specialist and former Chairman.  As such, he responded to industry and municipal events providing technical and incident management assistance.  Pete is a retired member of the City of Pasadena Volunteer Fire Department where he held positions as District Chief and Chief Safety Officer.  Pete has amassed hands on-experience ranging from responses to significant events at refineries, petrochemical facilities, warehouses, and transportation incidents in the Houston Metropolitan Area.  He has developed industrial fire officer training programs at Texas A&M Industrial Fire School and has provided training for the Houston Fire Department Hazardous Materials Response Team.
